This paper presents the work developed at Petrobras International to increase the natural gas reserves and production in Latin America. The results indicate that the company’s new strategic focus has been providing an increase of its production of natural gas in 270%, in which daily production in September reached 84192 boed. The same happened with reserves in 2002, that increased in 37,2 billions m3. This growth was mainly due to incorporation of Perez Conpanc and Petrolera Santa Fe.
