An experimental work about gas turbine was presented by H. Nouse et.al.and published in the Journal of Engineering for Power in 1976. The dimensions and design parameters of a specific gas turbine were presented. A mathematical model based on the conservation laws of: mass, momentum and energy and the correlation of pressure loss coefficient was developed and summarized in this article.
The model represents with a good precision the measured mach numbers of velocity triangles for cold air test. For hot gas test turbine pressure ratio and efficiency was determined numerically and expressed as a function of flow parameter and specific heat.
The change of specific heat due to change of humidity and temperature is predicted numerically and it was found that the change pressure ratio and efficiency is a linear function of change of specific heat
